Overview

WallCanvas lets you combine multiple paired screens into one synchronized canvas. Follow these steps to create a layout, identify the correct screens, map each display position, and publish content to the wall.

Before you begin

  • Pair each physical display with your SignMitra account and give screens clear, recognizable names.
  • Confirm your plan has enough screen licenses for every physical display in the wall. Each screen in a WallCanvas layout uses one screen license.
  • Keep the displays online while you configure and publish the wall so you can confirm their status and playback.

Understand the screen assignment list

  • Open the source screen selector to see each screen name, screen key, and current online or offline status.
  • Use the screen key to distinguish displays with similar names. Check the status before assigning a screen.
  • A screen marked as already in this wall is assigned to the current layout. Select an available screen for an empty position.

Publish your content

  • Choose the WallCanvas playlist or content using the publishing controls on the wall page.
  • Publish the update and allow connected players time to receive it. A screen that is offline can update after it reconnects.
  • Check each display in the wall to confirm the correct part of the canvas appears in the intended position.

If a screen does not appear correctly

  • Confirm that the screen is paired to the intended device and that the device is online.
  • Check the screen name and key against the physical display, then verify its assigned position in the layout.
  • Reopen the wall and publish again after correcting the assignment. If the player remains offline, resolve its connection from Devices before checking playback.
Tip: Use a consistent naming scheme such as Lobby Left, Lobby Center, and Lobby Right so the assignment list matches the physical wall.
Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Open WallCanvas

From the user dashboard, open WallCanvas in the sidebar. On the WallCanvas overview, select Create WallCanvas to start a new layout.

Step 2: Name the wall and choose its grid

Enter a name that identifies the location or purpose of the wall. Select the grid that matches the physical arrangement of your displays, such as 1 × 2, 2 × 1, or 2 × 2.

Step 3: Choose a source screen for each position

For every empty grid position, open Choose source screen. Find the display by its screen name and screen key, and check its online or offline badge before selecting it. Avoid assigning the same physical display to more than one position.

Step 4: Review the layout preview

Use the preview to check how the selected screens fit together. Compare each position with the real display arrangement. If a screen is in the wrong position, change that position’s source screen before saving.

Step 5: Save the WallCanvas

Review the wall name, grid, and screen assignments, then save. The saved wall opens with its assignments ready for publishing.

Step 6: Publish your content

Choose the content or playlist for the wall and publish it. Keep the displays connected while players receive the update. Offline displays can receive the latest published content when they reconnect.

Step 7: Confirm playback on every display

Check each physical display and confirm it shows the correct section of the canvas. If one display is missing or showing the wrong section, verify its online status, screen key, and grid position, then publish the corrected wall again.
