Install SignMitra Player on LG webOS Signage
Install SignMitra Player on LG webOS Signage
Complete IPK installation, SI Server setup, screen pairing, offline playback and troubleshooting guide for supported LG webOS commercial signage displays.
Overview
Use this guide to install the SignMitra IPK on a supported LG webOS commercial signage display through SI Server Setting, pair the screen and verify online and offline playback.
Compatibility: Designed for supported LG webOS commercial signage displays that provide EZ Setting and SI Server Setting. Consumer LG Smart TVs normally do not expose this installation flow. Contact SignMitra Support with the exact model code and webOS version if these menus are absent.
Before you begin
- Record the full LG model code, webOS version and firmware version from General or About This TV.
- Connect the display to a stable wired or Wi-Fi network and verify internet access.
- Set the correct date, time and time zone before downloading the IPK.
- Keep the LG remote and administrator password available.
- Create the target screen in SignMitra Dashboard if you want to pair it immediately after installation.
Current SignMitra package
| Platform | LG webOS commercial signage |
|---|---|
| Version | 1.1.0 |
| Package | com.signmitra.player.lg_1.1.0_all.ipk |
| Download | Download the current SignMitra player |
After installation
- Launch SignMitra Player and wait for the six-digit registration code.
- In SignMitra Dashboard open Screens or Devices, select Add/Pair Device and enter the code.
- Choose the screen, assign a playlist or schedule and publish.
- Keep the display online until the first media sync completes.
- Restart the display and confirm that the player launches and resumes content automatically.
Network and offline playback
- Allow outbound HTTPS on port 443 to signmitra.com and the SignMitra CDN. Avoid Wi-Fi networks that require a browser login.
- The installation URL and first player launch require internet access.
- Cached images, videos, slides and schedules continue offline after their first successful download.
- Live widgets and streaming services need connectivity; cached-capable apps retain their last available data.
- The player reconnects and synchronizes changes automatically when internet access returns.
Updating the TV player
Keep Local Application Upgrade set to Remote. To install a newer release, replace the Application URL with the current SignMitra IPK URL, choose Remote again, confirm the upgrade and reboot after success. Do not uninstall the existing player unless Support requests a clean installation.
Quick troubleshooting checklist
- SI Server Setting is missing: verify this is an LG commercial signage model rather than a consumer TV.
- Download or upgrade fails: confirm FQDN is enabled, the complete HTTPS URL is entered, and DNS/port 443 are allowed.
- App does not appear after success: reboot the display fully and check the Home application list.
- No registration code: verify internet, date/time and DNS, then relaunch the app.
- Offline playback is empty: reconnect and allow the initial playlist and media download to finish.
Security: Only install packages downloaded from SignMitra. Do not rename, unpack or modify the signed installation file.
Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Confirm the LG display is supported
Open General or About This TV and record the exact model code, firmware and webOS version. This guide requires a commercial signage display with EZ Setting and SI Server Setting.
Step 2: Connect the display and correct its clock
Configure wired Ethernet or Wi-Fi, test internet access, and set the correct date, time and time zone. A wrong clock can prevent secure downloads and schedules.
Step 3: Open SI Server Setting
Press Settings or Setup on the remote. Open EZ Setting, choose SI Server Setting, and then open the SI Server Setting configuration page. Menu wording varies slightly by firmware.
Step 4: Configure the application source
Enable FQDN. Set Application Launch Mode to Local, Application Type to IPK, and Local Application Upgrade to Remote.
Step 5: Enter the SignMitra IPK URL
Enter the complete URL exactly: https://signmitra.sgp1.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/uploads/player-downloads/2026/08/signmitra-player-1.1.0-lg-webos.ipk . Check every character before continuing.
Step 6: Download and install the application
Choose Remote under Local Application Upgrade. Accept the Application Upgrade confirmation and keep the TV powered on and connected until the success message appears.
Step 7: Reboot and launch SignMitra Player
Select OK after successful installation and restart the display. Press Home, find SignMitra Player and launch it. Enable application auto launch if your model provides the option.
Step 8: Pair the display
Wait for the six-digit registration code. In SignMitra Dashboard open Screens or Devices, choose Add/Pair Device, enter the code and select the required screen.
Step 9: Publish and finish the first sync
Assign a playlist or schedule and publish it. Keep the display online until all media downloads and the playlist completes a full playback cycle.
Step 10: Test restart and offline recovery
Restart the display and verify automatic playback. Briefly disconnect the network to test cached content, then reconnect and confirm the device returns online and refreshes automatically.
