Install SignMitra Player on Samsung Tizen Signage
Install SignMitra Player on Samsung Tizen Signage
Complete installation, screen pairing, offline playback and troubleshooting guide for supported Samsung Tizen/SSSP commercial displays.
Overview
Use this guide to install the signed SignMitra Player on a supported Samsung commercial signage display running Tizen/SSSP, pair it with your account and confirm reliable playback.
Compatibility: Designed for supported Samsung Smart Signage Platform commercial displays. Menu names vary by model and Tizen generation. Standard consumer Samsung Smart TVs may block private WGT installation; contact SignMitra Support with the exact model code before proceeding.
Before you begin
- Record the full Samsung model code and software version from Support or About This TV.
- Connect the display to a stable wired or Wi-Fi network and confirm that its date, time and time zone are correct.
- Keep the remote control and administrator PIN available. The common factory PIN is 0000 unless it was changed.
- Download the signed WGT package from the link below. Keep the filename and package contents unchanged.
- Create the screen in SignMitra Dashboard before installation if you want to pair it immediately.
Current SignMitra package
| Platform | Samsung Tizen / SSSP |
|---|---|
| Version | 1.1.0 |
| Package | Signmitra-Samsung-Player-v1.1.0.wgt |
| Download | Download the current SignMitra player |
After installation
- Launch SignMitra Player and wait for the six-digit registration code.
- Sign in to SignMitra Dashboard, open Screens or Devices, choose Add/Pair Device and enter the code shown on the TV.
- Assign a screen, playlist or scheduled content and publish it.
- Wait for the initial media download to complete before disconnecting the network.
- Restart the TV once and confirm that SignMitra starts automatically and resumes playback.
Network and offline playback
- Allow outbound HTTPS traffic on port 443 to signmitra.com and the SignMitra CDN. Captive-portal Wi-Fi is not recommended.
- The first launch and first content download require internet access.
- After media is cached, supported content continues offline. Cloud widgets, live feeds and YouTube require connectivity and are skipped or use cached data according to the widget.
- When internet returns, the player reconnects automatically, refreshes its schedule and downloads changed media.
Updating the TV player
Download the latest signed WGT from the SignMitra Downloader and repeat the supported USB or URL Launcher installation method. Keep the same SignMitra application installed so the paired device identity can be retained. Do not uninstall first unless Support specifically asks you to perform a clean installation.
Quick troubleshooting checklist
- No installation option: verify that this is a Samsung commercial signage model and that Custom App or URL Launcher is available.
- Invalid package or signature: download the WGT again, do not unzip it, and confirm the system date and time.
- Black screen or no registration code: verify DNS/internet access, restart the display and launch Custom App again.
- Registration code rejected: confirm the code has not expired and that your package has available screen capacity.
- Content does not play offline: reconnect until the first download finishes, then test offline again.
Security: Only install packages downloaded from SignMitra. Do not rename, unpack or modify the signed installation file.
Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Confirm the display is supported
Open Support or About This TV and record the complete model code and Tizen/SSSP version. This guide is for Samsung commercial signage displays with Custom App, URL Launcher or supported WGT installation.
Step 2: Prepare network, time and orientation
Connect Ethernet or Wi-Fi, set the correct date, time and time zone, and choose Landscape or Portrait in the display settings. Incorrect time can cause certificate and schedule errors.
Step 3: Download the signed Samsung package
On a computer, open https://www.signmitra.com/downloads/file/6 and download Signmitra-Samsung-Player-v1.1.0.wgt. Do not unzip, edit or rename the WGT.
Step 4: Install by USB when supported
Format a USB drive as FAT32. Create a folder named userwidget at the USB root and copy the WGT into it. Safely eject the drive, insert it into the signage display and follow the on-screen installation message. Availability varies by model.
Step 5: Use Custom App or URL Launcher when required
During initial setup choose Manual Setup, set the orientation, choose Custom App under Player Selection and skip the RM Server step. From Home, open Custom App or URL Launcher settings. If the display requests a package URL, enter https://signmitra.sgp1.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/uploads/player-downloads/2026/08/signmitra-player-1.1.0-samsung-tizen.wgt and select Install.
Step 6: Restart and launch SignMitra Player
After installation completes, restart the display. Open Home and launch SignMitra Player or Custom App. Configure auto launch if the display offers that option.
Step 7: Pair the TV with SignMitra
Wait for the six-digit registration code. In SignMitra Dashboard open Screens or Devices, select Add/Pair Device, enter the code and choose the screen this TV should display.
Step 8: Publish and complete the first sync
Assign a playlist or schedule and publish. Keep the TV online until all media is downloaded and playback has completed at least one full cycle.
Step 9: Verify restart and offline playback
Restart the TV and confirm automatic playback. Then briefly disconnect the network to verify cached images, videos and slides continue. Reconnect and confirm the player returns online automatically.
