Partner Plans, Payments, Licences and Invoices
Understand customer pricing, merchant collection, wholesale licence settlement, GST invoices and activation rules.
Overview
Partner billing separates the customer retail transaction from the SignMitra wholesale licence obligation so money, tax responsibility and service activation remain auditable.
Who should use this guide
This guide is for partner owners, finance teams and SignMitra administrators configuring how partner client subscriptions are sold and activated.
Important points
- In platform collection, SignMitra collects the customer payment and applies the agreed partner commission rules.
- Partner merchant collection becomes available only after credentials, signed webhook handling, seller identity and wholesale licence settlement are verified and enabled by an administrator.
- A partner-collected payment does not automatically mean the SignMitra wholesale licence has been funded.
- Wholesale licence settlement can use an approved prepaid wallet/reserved balance or a platform invoice/credit arrangement.
- Licence activation must follow successful payment verification or an explicitly authorized credit workflow; browser success pages alone are not proof of payment.
Important: Never activate a paid licence solely from a client-side payment response. Use the verified gateway signature, webhook and reconciliation state.
Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Choose the retail collection model
Select platform collection or partner merchant collection according to the partner agreement and legal invoicing responsibility.
Step 2: Configure partner plans
Set retail prices and entitlements while ensuring the wholesale licence, taxes, gateway charges, discounts and margin are commercially sustainable.
Step 3: Configure the merchant account
For partner collection, securely add the partner gateway credentials and webhook secret. An administrator must verify the setup before direct customer collection is enabled. Until then, use platform collection or the authorized partner wallet workflow in Total Users.
Step 4: Choose wholesale settlement
Configure prepaid wallet reservation/deduction or approved platform invoice settlement for each activated client licence.
Step 5: Process a test subscription
Use a controlled low-risk transaction and confirm order, signature, webhook, transaction, invoice, subscription and notification records agree.
Step 6: Verify invoice ownership
Confirm the correct legal entity, GST/tax identity, numbering sequence and customer details appear on the retail and wholesale documents.
Step 7: Reconcile regularly
Review failed, pending, refunded and successful payments and compare gateway data with subscriptions, wallet entries and invoices.
